The two shared a bond quite strong, she even aided in helping Nancy escape the Dune. Somehow Ima was able to manifest herself to be more than just imaginary, being able to be seen by others too. She may seem creepy because of her looks or behaviors, regularly looming around and constantly staring at people... She's just not quite accustomed to being seen by others yet.
