The Sky View Tower was a 494-foot-tall skyscraper with its restaurant, The Sky View, which opened and closed on May 17, 1968. Although it was extremely irritating and highly anticipated, the tower underwent rushed construction and was opened five months ahead of schedule, with poor operational standards. Although these flaws could have led to a total collapse and the death of all guests on its opening day, such a disaster was completely avoided thanks to Iris Campbell, who warned customers of the imminent danger. The tower was closed for inspection and renovations, but it was never reopened before being demolished
