Malicious Power

You enter a city drained of colour; black streets, white sky, silent buildings leaning at impossible angles. No one is there, yet footsteps echo behind you and doors open when you look away. Shadows move before you do. Your only defence is a handheld camera; through its screen pale figures appear in empty corridors and faces press against blank windows. Keep them in frame and they freeze, glitch, and fade into static, but your battery drains fast. The longer you record, the more the city shifts, streets looping and walls closing in. Don’t let the shadows leave the frame.
