Buckeye Freight Corridor.

The Buckeye Freight Corridor is a vital artery of Ohio’s rail network, connecting Marion to the broader Midwest with strength and precision. Designed to handle heavy freight traffic, the corridor symbolizes the state’s industrial heritage and modern logistics power. Long trains of steel, coal, grain, and manufactured goods thunder across its tracks, linking factories, farms, and ports in a seamless chain of commerce. The name “Buckeye” honors Ohio’s identity, while “Freight Corridor” emphasizes its role as a backbone of transportation. For CSX and Norfolk Southern, this route represents efficiency, reliability, and the fusion of heritage with innovation. Marion’s position at the crossroads makes the corridor a hub of activity, where railroads intersect and commerce flows. More than a line on a map, the Buckeye Freight Corridor is a lifeline of motion, carrying the energy of Ohio forward.
