For this reason, local townspeople never venture there at night. Legend also tells of a demon slayer who roams the night, hunting these bloodthirsty demons. For young Tanjiro, these rumors will soon become a harsh reality... Since his father's death, Tanjiro has taken it upon himself to provide for his family. Despite this tragedy, they manage to find a little happiness in everyday life. However, this little happiness is destroyed the day Tanjiro discovers that his family has been massacred and that the only survivor, his sister Nezuko, has become a demon. To his surprise, Nezuko still shows signs of human emotion and thought. Thus begins Tanjiro's difficult task: to fight the demons and turn his sister back into a human.
