Ambient Nights. / Part I — The Loved one

The Path of the Unremembered They say the path appears only to those who have lost something they cannot name. No one knows who built the marble walkway — its vines glow faintly, as if remembering a life that once flowed through them. The six white columns hum with a soft resonance, each one tuned to a different emotion: longing, fear, hope, regret, curiosity, and silence. When someone steps onto the path, the columns awaken, lighting the way forward even though the traveler never asked for guidance. At the end of the path floats The Unremembered, a figure suspended between worlds. Some claim it is a guardian. Others whisper it is a memory given shape. It holds a single balloon — a fragile, glowing sphere said to contain the last thought a traveler had before they forgot why they came. The sky around the path is not a sky at all, but a void where stars flicker like dying signals. Time behaves strangely here. Footsteps make no sound. Shadows fall in directions that don’t exist.
