Kingman Mainline

The Kingman Mainline is a legendary stretch of rail in Arizona, where the desert landscape meets the thunder of steel wheels. For BNSF Railway, it serves as a vital freight artery, carrying long trains of intermodal containers, coal, and grain across the Southwest. The line’s wide curves and open terrain showcase the power of modern locomotives as they conquer miles of desert under the blazing sun. At the same time, Amtrak’s Southwest Chief glides along the same corridor, offering passengers breathtaking views of mesas, canyons, and endless skies. Kingman Station stands as a gateway, blending small‑town charm with the pulse of national rail travel. The Mainline embodies both freight efficiency and passenger adventure, uniting commerce and exploration. More than a track, the Kingman Mainline is a desert rail lifeline, carrying goods, people, and stories across America’s heartland.
